My experience at DuBu Korean Food on a Saturday night was fantastic! Despite arriving at 6:30pm and waiting 20 minutes for a seat, the wait was well worth it. The service was impressively fast and attentive throughout our meal. The seafood pancake was perfectly cooked and flavorful, while the beef ribs (La Galbi) were tender and savory, easily becoming my all-time favorites. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, making it a great spot for a weekend dinner. Highly recommend for anyone craving delicious Korean cuisine with excellent service

I recently visited a Korean restaurant that impressed me with its authentic flavors and warm, inviting atmosphere. The menu offered a delightful mix of traditional dishes like bibimbap and kimchi stew, each bursting with well-balanced, robust flavors. Coupled with attentive service and a cozy ambiance, it’s a must-visit spot for anyone craving genuine Korean cuisine.

We had a delicious weekend lunch at DuBu not too long ago. The restaurant was busy, but the servers were friendly and attentive. We ordered several dishes to try between two people — the gejang, sagol dumpling soup, spicy pork bibimbap, and bibim nengmyun. Everything tasted fantastic and we ended up with delicious leftovers the next day. Our waiter even brought us a bag of ice for the gejang to ensure that it stayed fresh on the drive home, which I thought was very considerate. This place is solid!

I came here to celebrate a birthday with friends (we reserved in advance). They were so nice and accommodating. Our main waiter was Charlie. He was very attentive. We felt welcomed and not rushed at all. The makkeoli (rice wine) was refreshing. For appetizers, we started with fried mandu (they were vegetarian). Standard dumplings, they were good. Then tteokbokki (spicy rice cakes), which definitely had some kick to it (good for those who love spice). Two friends had the braised pork bibimbap, one had the seafood dubu soup with noodles, and another had the mixed dubu soup. I totally forgot that my friends didn't know dubu meant tofu. One tends not to like tofu as much, but she said it tasted great with this particular soup. They also gave us side dishes, such as kimchi, salad with dressing, and a small fish for each person. I had the galbijjim, braised short ribs I think. Omg, it was sooooo good. I thought it would be spicy, but it was sweet and definitely not as spicy as the tteokbokki. I brought cake and candles. They put the candles on the cake, lit them up, and sang the Happy Birthday song in Korean (like "생일 축하합니다"). I would come here again to try out other menu items for sure. 10/10. Highly recommend.

Some of the best Korean in Philly!! Great selection of soups and tasty side dishes as well

WOW!! As a huge foodie (especially all kinds of Asian food) this place hits it out of the park every time I visit... arguably the best Korean food around! They are very generous with their free side dishes and free hot tea (it’s a nice change of pace from other cheap restaurants that stiff you and charge extra). Always leave them a generous tip as the service and food is exceptional! Literally everything we’ve tried has been amazing, but my favorites are the spicy mixed seafood/beef tofu soup and the stone pot bibimbap! Already looking forward to the next visit.

Even during the dinner rush, the service was not only friendly but also efficient. The food came swiftly and are extremely generous with their side dishes. The food was exceptional and came out in big portions. Despite the full restaurant, we did not feel rushed at all!

Ordered a large meal take out, everything was correct and delicious. Friendly staff on the phone and in person. The waiter even offered to go out of their way to bring a bag to my car since I couldn’t carry them all in one trip! Premium service and very authentic (almost full on a Tuesday as well, good sign!) Would highly recommend and will be a repeat customer for sure. Thanks guys.
